Dr. Sara Asadoorian, DAc., L.Ac., CSCS

Dr. Sara Asadoorian is a nationally board-certified doctor of acupuncture who specializes in sports medicine and performance optimization. Dr. Sara’s passion for helping people find their way out of pain in unconventional ways is a quality she is best known for among her patients and colleagues. She uses a unique combination of traditional Chinese medicine, neurokinetic therapy, and corrective movement to effectively address her patient’s conditions. Dr. Sara earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and physical education from the University of Maine, and a master’s in acupuncture from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. In 2021, Dr. Sara completed her doctorate in acupuncture at Five Branches University in San Jose California where she focused her studies on functional medicine and integrative patient care. Her experience and expertise in addressing stubborn pain and optimizing athletic performance has afforded her the opportunity to work with world class athletes in the NFL, MLB, NHL, PGA, and LPGA as she maintains her private practice in Tempe, Az.

Born and raised outside of Boston, Dr. Sara grew up as an all-around competitive athlete and earned a scholarship to play NCAA DIV 1 college softball. She now enjoys playing golf and training in martial arts, but she also has a deep interest in exploring meditation, breathwork, and self-care in a number of ways. She has a distinctive way of integrating mindfulness and personal growth into her clinical practice which enhances the overall patient experience.
